Fencing Solutions - Design Details

Step 1: Selection

Appropriate fence selection is the first step in ordering your fence. Consideration should be given to such factors as

·         Track classification as referred to by AS2156

·         Possible hazards that may require control measures such as water courses or cliff edges

·         Unique loading requirements such as crowd loadings or viewing platform areas

·         Protection of native habitat

In some cases a combination of fence types may be appropriate. If you have any questions regarding your fencing selection, feel free to contact Join-T-Lock’s technical department for guidance.

Step 2: Survey

In order to fabricate your fence an accurate survey of the proposed installation site is required. Post locations, RL’s and changes of direction should be clearly identified. A registered surveyor should be consulted if unsure of boundary locations. Contact Join-T-Lock  for the brochure: “Measuring up for a Join-T-Lock Fence” .

Step 3: Foundation Conditions

Once a survey is complete an assessment must be made of ground conditions to determine in ground embedment depth. For certain soil types it may be appropriate to consult an experienced Geotechnical engineer.
